Laura Power
Here is a theory to ponder. From a corporate decision, half of the crew of six managers no longer work for a bonus. This is contrary to restaurant industry standards. This means three of our managers no longer have their primary incentive to perform well. This may mean that these three seek employment elsewhere, leaving us with three managers. This is not enough. Even if Richard stays, he is not capable of managing the front of the house. He can barely handle the alley. This plays well into Laura's cleansing of our Mall of Georgia store. It already appears that she is and wishes to continue systematically removing anyone by whom she feels threatened. This could be anyone who saw her impaired performance at the company meeting. In her quest for power, she is in a position to hand pick the people who will be necessary to manage the dining room.
It will not be Dan. He was demoted from manager to server. Recently his squirrel management functions were suddenly stripped and he can not help anyone any more. Now we have to search out and disturb a manager if we have a problem. Shannon and HaoEn can help some, but I don't think they were even trained on the management side of the squirrel software. Their functions just appeared one day. Heather can still help us, but she is not on the floor that often. Something tells me that she will not want ADRM shifts in place of server money shifts. Managing lunch will interfere with her AA duties, extending her hours and cutting out serving.
This is perfect for Laura. I theorize that some of her transfers from the Cumming store will begin their further takeover of the restaurant soon. As a matter of fact, one of them is already training new hires in her first week here. I suspect that we will find that she already has squirrel functions. Is it time to cooperate with Laura and jump this sinking ship?

through my experiences with laura, i feel she is as fake as they come. she is a class 'A' BITCH. i can not stand working the same shifts with her. only her little pets have the best stations and they are sloppy and lazy people. why do they get away with not wearing the proper uniform and shoes. using cells phones in the middle of the dining room. being late all the time. scamming on their sidework and silver rolling!!!!!!!! i do not understand all this. i hate that woman. what a bitch. somebody please find a way to get rid of that horrible woman and her pompous little pets.
so now the transfers are taking over the store. Why are Kelly and April doing ADRM shifts? Shouldn't this be someone that has been with this particular store for at least 6 months? Once again Laura's favorites get to do whatever they want. I have no intentions of taking orders from either one of these people, and today proved that I am not the only one that feels this way. When is Angel going to do his ADRM shift? After all, he is the absolute favorite that gets a 6 table section every shift and never has to do his sidework or silver! Laura's favoritisim is getting completly out of hand!
The new daytime bartender, who got the job Hux wanted, doesn't seem to know how to fix even the simplest of drinks. We used to have to earn our way into cocktail and it was really hard to become a bartender. Now all you have to do is kiss up to Laura and she is not even the bar manager. She controls the whole restaurant!!!
yeah, how come Laura is the one in charge of the bar? isn't Wynn supposed to be the bar manager? He might be a better manager if Stacy and Laura would teach him how to do his job and actually let him do it.
laura is in charge of the bar so she can have control of the bar and its contents. ifshe ever closes, she can make herself a drink or 2 or 3 and no one would notice.
I wonder if Stacey has somehow diverted the focus from his fiasco as GM away from himself and placed the blame on the employees who have been here a long time. Could Phil actually support getting rid of everyone? I can't imagine this being true, and I hope Phil can see through Stacey's doubletalk.
stacy is a joke. does not give a damn about anyone or anything. just another useless, lazy n$%%^r is a high position. it is sad that the employees that have been at ocharleys for a long time have no respect. i will not state names. but they are treated poorly. i see that there is no sense in spending years at ocharleys when all you do is go downhill instead of up.
Who's in charge?
All the organs of the body were having a meeting, trying to decide who was in charge.
"I should be in charge", said the brain, because I run all the body's systems, so without me nothing would happen".
"I should be in charge", said the blood, "because I circulate oxygen all over, so without me you'd all waste away".
"I should be in charge", said the stomach, "because I process food and give all of you energy".
"I should be in charge", said the rectum, "because I'm responsible for waste removal".
All the other body parts laughed at the rectum and insulted him, so in a huff, he shut down tight. Within a few days, the brain had a terrible headache, the stomach was bloated, and the blood was toxic.
Eventually the other organs gave in. They all agreed that the rectum should be the boss.
The moral of the story?
You don't have to be smart or important to be in charge... just an asshole.
Poor Wynn, getting the blame again for not knowing his job...I don't think it has anything to do with not knowing how...but more like every time he makes a decision it is over turned by the "Bitch". Or he is off for a day and they make decisions for him with out consulting him in his own department..then they don't even tell him they made a decision. He comes in and starts to do things the way he wants and finds out that someone else has decided to do it another and everyone else is already doing it that way. Look at the bartenders for example...did he pick any of them? Jae ... who might be good if he doesn't drink away all the profits? or Ted ... who is Laura's eye candy? or the new one Katie ... who is another Cumming transfer? Did he pick any of them or were they shoved on him? I don't think he had any choice in the matter. He may have the title of Bar Manager but he is really just there to run a closing shift and count the bar inventory on sundays. I feel for him...and agree with what someone else said. He probably won't be there much longer....he and Derrick are too good for o'sucks
One aspect of his job that he doesn't do is make the schedule. Until they let him make the schedule, he doesn't have the power or ability to decide who is in the bar. Taking Hux out of the bar wasn't Wynn's decision and is one of the stupidist things that stupid bitch ever did. It would be different if he was taken out because of bad performance, but we all know that wasn't the case. I'm sure if Wynn were able to make the schedule, he would make some changes.
people may call laura a bitch or a drunk and do not like her as i do not like her either but at least she helps everyone. she runs food, greets tables, refills drinks, even run the charge cards as well. so you see, there is some positive in all that negativity.

You guys would be threated by us from the O'charley's store wouldn't you...I know we are much better at our jobs but don't be so jealous and spend more time focusing on your skills!

I think that is all gone too far. I know these people that are being talked about. They are great people, they have helped me in the past and even made me a better person and employee. Laura is a great manager, she does sometimes have her favorites, but everyone does that. Everyone that is talking badly about others just needs to think about the things that you are saying, you can cost someone their job, and it is also very mean. HOw would you like it if someone said the same things about you? You wouldn't would you??? I am an employee in the Cumming location, and I am proud to work for O'Charley's, I have been here for almost three years. I have seen many people come and go, many people have been transferred from other stores, and they are a great asset to our store. I believe that you are not giving your management team, new or transferred employees, or even yourself a chance. If you do not like working for O'Charley's so much and hate Laura and everyone else, then why don't you leave? That would solve your problem and probably make the store a better environment to work in!!!
Why should all of us leave when the solution is to get rid of Stacey and Laura? Morale is the lowest in this store's history and it is directly because of them. harrassment and verbal abuse and ignoring people does not make them better people of employees.
