Party Pooper

Most restaurants charge for a private room or at least get a deposit and a guarantee. Not here. O'Charleys is hurting for business so anyone who calls gets the back room. This puts party servers at risk. Sometimes nobody shows. Other times a 45 top becomes a 20 top. Does management feel any obligation to the servers who just lost their money for that shift. You know the answer. Nobody upstairs cares.

I am going to come out and say this everyone of you need to get a life. You all don't have the balls to say anything toupper management and you have to talk about people behind there backs. If you don't like it leave nobody is asking you to stay. Either suck it up or find a new job. Just remember you are replaceable. Also you know why buisness sucks because service sucks not management get off your asses do some work and make some money and maybe you will have return customers. I think management should fire everybody that uses this site. Its time for all you losers to get off your asses make some friends and get a life because it looks like you all need one. It is good to hear an opinion of someone who disagrees with a lot of the group who blog here. Maybe anonymous is right, we need to go to upper management. Who is upper management, the president of the company or the stockholders, or the vice president for this area, region, or district? Thanks anonymous, we can invite the styockholders to participate.

Why don't you just let us vent here. At least we have others who listen, unlike our managers. You want to fire anybody who exercises their right to free speech. Come on.

I think you should feel free to continue to contribute. I think you probably have something worthwhile to say.

If everyone who is using this site is to be fired, wouldn't that include you? And as for the Cumming store, if it was so much better, how come all of you are transferring to our store? Go back there if it is so much better. I don't think anyone who is still working for the company can comment that the rest of us need to get a "real" job. If you are working there still, don't you also need to get a "real" job? A lot of the people who are on here have been at the store for a while, which means that they were here before Laura and Stacy came and ruined the place. Derrick left the company because of how badly it was being run, shouldn't that tell us something. You are right about the training at our store. They don't have a very good training program and that is definitely something that should be changed. I've seen the way that another O'Charley's was run, and it was nowhere near this bad. Every business is going to have its down sides and managers that people don't like. The fact is that every manager in this place is disliked. That isn't a very good way to keep our morale up and inspire us to do our very best. One of Laura's favorites does benefit from it and make more money because of it. Angel gets 6 table sections every shift compared to everyone else getting 3. He also doesn't have to worry about silver or side work at the end of the night. THAT is why he is making more money, not just that he is a good server. If you aren't bright enough to recognize a poorly run business, they you aren't going to do very well when you get out into the "real" world, are you?

I only wish that everyone could work together. Be positive and have fun while at work and still do your job. I can't see why it is so hard. To all of the people that have been there awhile. It has been up and down. We have seen our share of bad managers (Ellen,Joe, and others). We are all still here O'Charley's is still up and running. Speak up at meetings and let management know your concerns. Help out the new servers, don't just put them down for not knowing something. Remember everyone says the traing is so bad, so what do you expect from them?

cummingochux, you truly are a fucking idiot. I'm sure you thought you posted a well thought out comment with the mindset "I showed them", let me analize your post. "How can a BILLION dollar company be so screwed up??" Tell that to the former employees of the Pleasnant Hill store, they shut down remember? The fact that this site exists tells you there is something wrong with this store, not the company, you fucking moron. The fact that Phil and Stacy decided to hire Russ back speaks volumes of their incompitence and poor decision making. I know you're a female and aren't you the least bit apprehensive towards Russ? You can think well that was in the past like Phil and Stacy but he just got fired from the Fieldhouse for the same reason. it is not in the past. Stacy will not even let the guy who spit in Graciella's face in the restaurant, but he allows Russ to work there. Now back to your ignorance. "I would like to see any one of you to go to some other restaurant and find anything different...it's all the same. Low-end jobs = low-end treatment...sorry!" This statement is the best one. You apparently think that servers everywhere around the world deserve "low-end treatment" Your ignorance is kind of scary. People like you exist and that scares me as a human. I can only assume you think Bush is a great president and the macarena is really cool.
You mentioned Buford servers, very bad to you, and Cumming servers, very good to you. Is it me or is that you "acting like your shit doesn't stink" and "on a pedestal". As far as Laura and her favorites, there is nothing wrong with a manager having favorites, the key is having favorites that actually do their job and some of you do not. All you have is a past history with a manager and that is when playing favorites is wrong. Bo,one of your products from a "real O'Charley's", was quite possibly the worst employee I've come across, but he got everything he wanted and that went on until he walked out. That was Stacy playing favorites with a shitty employee. "Maybe Buford should put you all back into training." What makes you think training is the problem? No one should have to be trained. You see a tray needs to be ran you run it. We need ice, fucking get it, we need more tea, fucking make it. training has nothing to do with it. I see people that take the time to find out who is on a particular sidework and hunt them down, makes me sick and I'm pretty sure you are one of those people. And now your final statement, "By the way, I hope you all know you are probably going to get your wish of no longer working with O'Charley's for your stupid little posts here! Hope you like working at McDonald's instead!!!". You honestly think that everyone is just going to say "yeah that was me who said that...sorry Phil and Stacy. The only person who said their name was Josh and he doesn't work here anymore. And what the fuck are you thinking that anyone is going to go to McDonald's. Your post was just fucking ignorant right up yo yhe very last sentence. Great job you really put me in my place huh? Fuck off and go back to your Cumming store. Asshole. By the way, that is how you put someone in their place.
