Any Money Here?
I wonder if anybody is making money at this O'Charleys. There are a lot of complaints that personal survival is at risk. There already exists a great deal of turnover. Comments by servers confirm that a number of them are close to resigning as soon as they find suitable employment elsewhere. Some of these are the seasoned servers who get the best sections almost every shift. This will provide the opportunity for others to move into the better sections until they too, give up on this restaurant. There is no quick fix. It is discouraging to see the constant flux and uncertainty here. Morale is lower than low.

from my point of view, the only people who make money are the closers. and they are complaining that they are not making money. so it is all the others who are making poor income that i find sad considering working at night in a restaurat, you should make 60 to 70 dollars not closing. closers should make close to 100. strugling to make money is tough and wears people down. plus it does not pay the bills. and as you know, it is the same servers who close. that is why turnover is high. all the other servers will never make a good income because of that very reason. they go elsewhere. more new servers, which create the problems that we have,,, food running does not get done, no running side work gets done. etc.
Part of the problem is the clientele. Most people just don't tip like they should. Face it -- O'Charleys today is like the Pizza Hut of the 80's.
you are correct. our guests are low rent people. they do not comprehend that it is a percentage of the total check. instead of throwing a couple of bucks on the table when gratuity should have been a total of 7 or 8 bucks.
Does anyone know what happened to Wynn last night? I saw him over in the corner at 25 talking to Phil and Stacey. He got up from that meeting and seemed really mad, then was gone a couple of minutes later. I sure hope they didn't fire him or we will only have Mr Touchy Feely, Mr No Backbone, Mrs Bitch and Little Richard left.... no one that cares about us. If they have fired him I think I'm gonna quite and go follow him or Derrick.
wynn was accused of sexual harrassment from our hostess or hostesses. whether true or not, accusations weigh heavy over the truth. those young babes do not know the difference between play and real. it is always best to be professional when it comes to things if an adult manner. we all say things for play and kid around with each other but we need to be careful at who we kid with. someone might take us seriosly.

Richard is next ... he looks like he is miserable. I wonder how well the three managers that are on the bonus plan will be able to run the restaurant by themselves?!! Oh yeah, I almost forgot they will also get the Cumming invasion to help them run ADRM shifts.
doesn't make that much of a difference, Wynn was going to quit in a month anyway.
times can be tough especially when the time of year is slow. take that time to work on your server knowledge and server skills. help run food or do some full hands. you will find that when you become busier, you will do much better waiting your tables.... added bonus, maybe better tips.
