New Identities Available
The 50,000 person rally last week for illegal immigrants reminds one that identity theft by criminals, and those needing a social security number, runs rampant in this country. It is for this reason that we are so protective of our private information. We trust those to whom we must give this information to be diligent in protecting it from unsavory types and exposure. It is a sad day when one finds out that his/her credit rating and identity has been compromised. It can block everything from making major purchases, securing new employment, signing a lease, or applying for a credit card. It is amazing how someone finding out your name and nine-digit social security number can make life very difficult and crush dreams. Last summer during a trash run, back of the house employees accidently found on top of the trash a printout that included the name, ss#, and pay rate, of the entire staff at this restaurant. Rage was the mood of the day! People found out how much each other made and compared it to their own wage rate. Everyone's identity was vulnerable. Apparently this careless act of not protecting vital personal information occurred every Monday after the weekly payroll was transmitted to corporate by Stacey. Because of this discovery, a line cook asked a female manager to document the event in the Red Management Log. Alas, even following this, nothing was done to change security measures. Just now an employee accidently found another payroll printout in the trash. This confirms that everyone employed at this restaurant has been publicly exposed to possible identity theft weekly by the nonchalant manner in which the general manager treats our personal information. He requires each person to provide this information for employment and then makes it potentially available to anyone stumbling in the trash. This could be other employees, bums, scavengers, illegals, crooks, or even someone borrowing the dumpster for personal use. Last summer, he decided that protecting this vital information from public view was not worth a $25-$50 expenditure for a shredder. It is inexcusable to not protect the well being of the staff and their personal information. Stacey may choose to be negligent about protecting his own identity. He is, however, obligated to give the rest of us protection. He has betrayed our trust again.

what did the cooks do with the list? where is it now? they need to show it to somebody who can get rid of stacy before we all get screwed
all anyone has to do is retain those documents. send to IRS, BBB. any other place you can think of. telling the story of finding these papers in the trash. O'C will then be in a world of shit. things will get done at that point.
All I know is that I am glad I am paid $2.13 an hour like the rest of these other guys. Or maybe I should cry and ask for another $0.85 raise so I could be the higest paid server here... then I'd be goin' places!!! I hope the cooks fight it out and go on strike like the hispanics and Delta employees did until they all get paid the same amount. Are all of our cooks here legally anyway? Some of them don't have a firm grasp of the english language IMHO. BTW, if my social and information gets out and there is damage... I will sign the lawsuit papers with the above persons. Ruin your own credit and get a damn shredder, there is no need not to have one at this point.

I and we know what you are trying to do with this but you are still a fucking prick for doing it. You know that you are borderline about to violate all kinds of privacy laws wih this information that you have provided and that you have with the full posting of SF's social? You may not like what happened and may not agree and we don't either and as much as I appreciate your desire to protect others (if that is indeed what you are doing), you are going about it the wrong way. You have NO right to publish what you did and you have violated the civil rights, "Right to Privacy" law and several federal regulations with this post. Also if you are on this list... you should be way passed pissed off and I strongly suggest that you take action in numerous ways: Find the poster and slap the shit out of them first off. Then call the Consumer Protection Bureau for investigation (1-800-441-2555) and inform them of this site and that someone is ILLEGALLY encroaching on your rights as a citizen and your privacy. This information is private for a reason and you should not have to worry about the reprocussions of others actions when you will be affected.

Also I wanted to remind you that you are an ass for your actions. You can be as angry as you want but the persons that didn't shred this information or dispose of it properly are at fault for negligence, you are at fault for direct involvement and encouraging others to have and or steal or misuse this information and have given them a forum in which to do it. I want you to know that I will be on the phone later this afternoon to the powers that be about this. You have violated the rights of me and my co-workers and moreover my friends.
One more thing, I want everyone that worked Monday to find out who did the trash runs this Monday and last Monday and find this poster... they should be questioned as to their motives and then terminated on the spot. This is in clear violation of many areas and also the form that we had to read and sign not that long ago.
Phil and Management; if you are reading this (and I know you are) take action and terminate this individual, post a reason and be brutally honest in their permanent file... what if we worked for Microsoft or other large entity? I have my issues with others here and the Mgt. but this goes way beyond anything I have encountered thus far. If you don't take action then I will find a way to make this known to the proper people. This place has to be fixed and for an employee to do this no matter what his/her intentions is unacceptable and inappropriate.
Phil, I would make a trip to this location and make a MANDATORY meeting to talk to us. If someone isn't here... FIRE THEM. You need to regain some control of this restaurant and the actions of the employees within it.

This is because Stacy is incompetent and even ignores problems when they have been presented to him. He always has, he always will. That's why people refer to him as Jellyfish. I don't think public display of people's numbers is correct. But it does make the direct point that Stacy needs to go. He had months to fix this situation and did not act on it. He tries to avoid problems and hopes they go away. Out of sight out of mind. If he wanted to do the FIRST RIGHT thing he would resign or ask for a transfer immediately. 86
ROAD RUNNER knows this. That was made public along with others and I hate what went down. You should not blame this person for doing this. It all falls back on SF. Only SF for his self center actions. Oh, I don't want to ever see this type of crap on here again. Please call HR or the other numbers will fall out of the SKY. The worst part is IT STILL happens. This restaurant has been going down and having problems for over a year, actually since SF got here from what I am told. It is supposed to be easy to make bonus, but I think they barely do that. The person that needs to talk to Mr.Ford is Phil and his boss,Frank Scherf, and Mr.ChuxCorp in his exit interview.
Does anybody have Frank's phone number. It is time to go up a level. Maybe Phil is a problem too.

There is still not a paper shredder in that this office. After all this, with peoples SSN# numbers being posted, I can promise that there will be more until all the stores have policy to have protection for past and curent employes. GET A FUCKING PAPER SHERDDER FOR EVERYONES PIRVACY.
